
From May 21 to 24, 2024, local time in France, the 17th OECD Mineral Supply Chain Forum was held in Paris, France. Zhang Yang, Director of Yunnan Tin Company Limited, attended the forum and delivered a speech at the forum Partner Session on strengthening cooperation between upstream and downstream responsible supply chain programs, discussing the company's supply chain due diligence management system and responsible tin supply chain construction.
ZhangYangemphasized Yunnan Tin's commitment to and investment in supply chain due diligence management. He introduced the construction of Yunnan Tin's supply chain due diligence management system, organizational setup, and the integration of business processes. ZhangYangadvocated that as a crucial production link in the supply chain, smelting enterprises should highly value the importance and irreplaceability of origin audits of mineral resources. He also pointed out the need to recognize regional differences in reality, suggesting that standard setters should consider how to make standards feasible in different regions and further work on enhancing communication between standards and upstream and downstream recognition.
As an internationalforumin the field of responsible business conduct, the forum brought together multiple stakeholders, including global mineral supply chain international organizations, standard bodies, auditing institutions, government departments, and upstream and downstream enterprises, to discuss important topics such as supply chain governance, government regulation, safety, human rights, auditing, responsible investment,international cooperation,etc.
During the forum, the Yunnan Tin's participants engaged and communicated with relevant standard-setting bodies and upstream and downstream stakeholders.
