云南锡业股份有限公司是我国主要的锡生产基地。多年来，公司重视污染源的防治和环境保护工作，严格执行国家环境保护有关法令法规和方针政策，新建项目按"三同时"的要求防止新污染源的产生，积极开展对现有污染源的治理，累计投资3035.6万元完成了污水闭路循环、烟化炉系统烟气SO2治理、渣场复土植被等一大批环保专项治理工程，实现了污水零排放，所有污染物达标排放，投资1.7亿元，引进澳大利亚澳斯麦特熔炼技术，对现有粗炼系统进行改造，通过工艺改造从根本上彻底消除末端治理难以解决的废气无组织污染，区域环境质量以明显提高，收到了良好的环境效益和社会效益。

　Yunnan Tin Company Ltd. (YTCL) is the major tin—production base in China, the trade characteristics and the quality of raw materials being used result in certain contaminants to be formed unavoidably during the production processes. In many years, YTCL has always been paying special attention to the prevention and cure for the contamination sources as well as to environmental prevention, the related laws and regulations and general and specific policies concerned in environmental prevention worked out by Chinese Government have been strictly carried out here. In order to avoid forming new contaminating sources, any newly—constricting projects has accorded with the requirements that the environmental installations have to be designed and built as well as go into operation simultaneously.
　　YTCL has took vigorous action to harness the existing contaminating sources, up to now, RMB 30,356 million yuan has been invested accumulatively in order to complete a batch of special harness engineering for environmental prevention including sewerage closed—circuit, treating SO2 in fume come from fuming furnace system, zero—pollution discharge of sewerage has been come true and all of contaminants have been up to the standards for discharging. Besides, YTCL has invested RMB 170 million yuan in importing Ausmelt smelting technology from Australia to reform the existing smelting system, thus, the contamination from inorganization discharge of exhaust gas has been completely eliminated so as to obviously improve the environmental quality in the area and achieve good environmental and social results.
